Full Time Faculty

BOBBI BLANZY, B.A.
Bobbi graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.A. in English and elementary education.  She has an elementary teaching certificate with high school endorsements in English, Bible, and science.  She has elementary and secondary English certification. She has taught at H.A.S. since 1990 or so and currently is the 1-4 homeroom teacher and high school English teacher.   She also oversees production of the school yearbook.

 


STACY BLANZY, B.A.
Stacy is a 2013 graduate of Southern Adventist University with a B.A. in elementary education and holds K-8 certification.  She joined our staff in January of 2014 and is the middle school (grades 5-8) homeroom teacher, director of the school choir, and school worship leader.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BETH CORLEY                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Beth has been a valued part of our staff for many years.  She is a certified gymnastics coach and currently teaches P.E. as well as works with our PK-K program . She enjoys farming, playing sports, and any outdoor activity. She enjoys getting kids started on their educational journey.  

 

CHERYL JACKO, M.A.
Cheryl graduated from Loma Linda University with a B.S. and later earned an M.A. in education and educational administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI.  She is certified in elementary  as well as secondary math, science and other subjects.  She has been a teacher and principal at H.A.S. since 1988 and has seen the school grow from the first group of seven students to a student body that can range from 40-60 students.  When not working with students, Cheryl loves gardening, writing, exploring the great West Virginia outdoors, and spending time with her family.

 

 

JOHN LOCKE, M.S.

John is a dedicated Christian teacher with 15 years teaching experience in various areas.  He holds a masters degree from Southern Adventist University and is certified in a variety of secondary subjects.   He is the homeroom teacher for grades 9-12 and teaches history, Bible, P.E., health and science.  A world traveler, he has been to Europe, and lived for 13 years in South Korea. He enjoys getting outdoors, anything involved with sports, and creates nature relaxation videos as a hobby. He is happily married with a lovely elementary aged daughter.

BECCA JACKO, B.S.                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Becca holds a bachelors degree from Southwestern Adventist University and is the director of our school string orchestra program.

TOM BLANZY, M.A., Mr. Blanzy teaches high school math and science and has many years of experience in secondary teaching. In addition to his teaching experience and M.A. in education, he holds a degree in engineering.
